A pair of 19-year-olds dubbed ‘Thelma and Louise’ by the media have been caught in Philadelphia after allegedly spending the summer robbing houses. Britney Singleton and Harley Gifford allegedly burgled more than two dozen houses in just a few months.
The pair reportedly told police that there was just one home that they failed to rob, after they discovered a lion in the property. Although police were somewhat sceptical of their claim, both Britney Singleton and Harley Gifford have apparently told the same story separately.
The case hit headlines across America as the duo continually evaded capture. It’s not clear how they were eventually caught, but police are believed to be still investigating their claim about the lion.
