Twitter’s capacity to act as a kind of mass ‘get well soon’ machine has been demonstrated again, with the topic ‘Pray for Caitlin’ trending. It’s referring to Caitlin Beadles, a girl who used to date Justin Bieber and who now has medical problems relating to her stomach.

Caitlin Beadles is reported to have been hospitalised with a paralysed stomach. She reportedly previously survived what sounds like a nasty boating accident involving a propeller that went through her right leg. The teen, from the US state of Georgia, really doesn’t seem to get much luck with health issues.
A paralysed stomach, or gastroparesis, occurs when the stomach muscles become paralysed. This can not only cause extreme pain, but prevents food being emptied from the stomach into the small intestine. Symptoms typically include nausea and vomiting.
She might be a nice person, but I don’t think she deserves to be “famous”… She should use her talent of whatever to be famous…
HOWEVER, I AM NOT SAYING SHE DESERVES BAD HEALTH!
I admire her strength, but there are hundreds of thousands of people that go through all of this, but they don’t get “get well soon” trending on Twitter for them.

Twitter is giving her “get well soon” wishes because she needs them and she seems like a normal girl who just has bad health. I don’t think she wanted her stomach to become paralyzed so she could get famous on Twitter! She is just another person that needs some good wishes and support.
