A New Zealand helicopter pilot has survived a crash that occured after his rotor blades got caught in some Christmas lights. And Greg Gribble miraculous escape was all caught on camera.
The helicopter was about 25ft up on Auckland’s waterfront, helping to put up a Christmas tree (!), when the accident happened. The video, which you can see here, shows the helicopter coming down and appearing to break up as it hits the ground.
Greg Gribble, a pilot with plenty of experience, is said to be doing fine and has not suffered any lasting injuries from the accident.
