Roger Crouch, who launched an influential anti-bullying campaign following the suicide of his 15-year-old son, has been found dead. He was 55. His death, at his home in Gretton, is not being treated as suspicious.
In 2010, Dominic Crouch leapt to his death from the roof of a six-storey building near his school in Cheltenham. He had reportedly been bullied over claims he was gay, having earlier kissed a boy for a dare.
In response to his son’s death, Roger Crouch launched a prominent campaign to encourage people to speak up about bullying. He recently won a Hero of the Year award from the campaign group Stonewall. The cause of Roger Crouch’s death has not yet been determined.
