Sun deleted tweet criticises BBC, Guardian and Ed Miliband #NOTW

The Sun‘s Sun Politics Twitter account has allegedly deleted a tweet in which the loss of the News of the World was described as a loss to first class journalism, and the BBC, The Guardian and Ed Miliband were asked if they were proud of their work.

@Sun_Politics now says that readers should ignore the tweet, which they claim was not authorised and is not the opinion of the newspaper.

Good that they’ve cleared that up. Because blaming the BBC, The Guardian and the leader of the Labour party for the demise of the News of the World would be an act of almost unparalleled arrogance. We all know why the paper is being axed.

But the tweet does remind us all of one thing. The News of the World has been axed, but the Murdoch press lives on. And good businessmen don’t forget those who have inflicted defeats on them…
