Yvonne the Cow found in Germany after 3 months

Yvonne the Cow, who became a national celebrity in Germany when she ran away from a farm 3 months ago, has finally been found. The Gut Aiderbichl animal sanctuary says that a farmer found Yvonne on his land.

Yvonne won public sympathy when she escaped shortly before she was due to be taken to a slaughterhouse. Despite numerous efforts by various interested parties to locate her, she kept a low profile in the Bavarian countryside and no-one could work out where she had gone.

A newspaper offered a reward for the discovery of Yvonne, while a psychic from South Africa claimed to be in touch with the cow. Yvonne will now live out her years in an animal sanctuary, which seems like quite an improvement on the fate to which she was originally headed.
