As the April Pratt video continues to spread online, Pratt’s Facebook and Twitter pages are being targeted by people who are very keen to let the unintentional star know exactly what they think of her.
As has happened in other recent cases involving the likes of Amber Cole and Adelyn Hosehbo, it’s clear that there’s a lot of pent-up moralising online. People want to prove their own moral worthiness by loudly proclaiming their disgust at the alleged actions of others.
By making these expressions of disgust, however, people are helping to make such stories even more prominent. And while this arguably defeats the purpose, it at least makes the complainers feel better for a while.
