Judge William Adams allegedly under investigation over shocking video

Texas judge William Adams is allegedly being investigated over a shocking video that was posted online this week. In a message posted on the Aransas County website, Judge Burt Mills says that police are looking into the allegations.

The video, which you can see here (you’ll need to verify your age, and you should be warned that it’s truly shocking), seems to show a man using his belt to discipline his disabled teenage daughter. The man is allegedly Judge William Adams, and the daughter allegedly recorded the incident herself a few years ago and has now decided to make it public.

The Aransas County message asked members of the public to refrain from contacting the police over the incident any more, possibly in response to a campaign by members of Reddit to get as many people as possible to contact officials in the area regarding the contents of the video.

  1. We often hear from those who fight to uphold this practice for those under the age of 18 (even to the blaming of the social maladies of the day on a supposed “lack” of it), but we rarely, if ever, find advocates for the return of corporal punishment to the general adult community, college campuses, inmate population, or military. Why is that?

Ask ten unyielding proponents of child/adolescent/teenage-only “spanking” about the “right” way to do it, and what would be abusive, indecent, or obscene, and you will get ten different answers.

These proponents should consider making their own video-recording of the “right way” to do it.
