Justin Bieber has made his first public comments about the Mariah Yeater allegations. Appearing on the Today Show live from Rockefeller Plaza, Bieber insisted that not only are the allegations completely false, but he’s never even met Yeater.
A hearing is scheduled for December 15th. Yeater’s lawyers Matt Pare and Lance Rogers are requesting that Bieber take a paternity test, and they say that they allegedly have ‘credible’ evidence that has not been presented to the media. Yeates alleges that Bieber is the father of her child. She also alleges that she and Bieber had sex in late 2010.
Responding to suggestions that Yeater might be accused of statutory rape if her claims are true (seeing as Bieber was 16 at the time of the alleged incident), Yeater’s lawyers insisted that because the age gap between the pair is less than three years any such crime would be just a misdemeanour.
