A West Virginia post office had to be evacuated on Friday morning after a package exploded, with white powder reportedly coming out. No-one was hurt in the explosion at Ranson Post Office.
It’s not clear yet what the white powder might have been, or who the package was addressed to. Employees were immediately evacuated and state police arrived at the scene to investigate.
Ranson is in a rural area of West Virginia’s eastern panhandle region. The explosion occurred just before 8am. There are believe to be approximately 20 people working in the post office.
