A Tennessee man has been accused of allegedly threatening the family of Republican House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. Glendon Swift, 62, allegedly left two threatening messages on Cantor’s voicemail in late October.
In one of the messages, Swift allegedly called Cantor ‘Jew boy’. He allegedly threatened to attack the politician’s wife and daughter. The messags were allegedly left at Cantor’s office in suburban Richmond.
Eric Cantor is one of the most high profile Republicans in Washington, having become a key figure in a political scene that many observers believe has become so partisan that it borders on dysfunction. Until recently, some Republicans were calling on Cantor to run for the White House.
