Former boxing champion Joe Frazier battling liver cancer

Former heavyweight boxing champion Joe Frazier is battling liver cancer, according to his manager. The 67-year-old was reportedly diagnosed about a month ago, and is currently receiving hospice care.

Famously the first man to ever beat Mohammad Ali, knocking him down in 1971, Joe Frazier had a long-running professional rivalry with Ali. This helped him become one of the world’s most famous and respected boxers.

Frazier’s friends and family are reportedly hoping for the best as he battles liver cancer, but the situation is said to be serious. He is in a Philadelphia hospice as he battles to recover from the condition.
