What did caddie Steve Williams says about Tiger Woods?

Steve Williams, former caddie to Tiger Woods, has apologised after allegedly making racially insensitive comments about Woods while appearing at a ‘caddie of the year’ awards ceremony in Shanghai.

Williams was discussing his work with Australian golfer Adam Scott, who famously won the Bridgestone Invitational. Having described that victory as the greatest of his career, Williams allegedly said – in reference to Woods – that “I wanted to shove it up that black arsehole”.

Williams has since apologised on his website, saying that his comments were never intended to come across as racist. There has so far been no response from Tiger Woods himself to the incident.
