A suicide bomber has killed six people outside a mosque in Baghlan, northern Afghanistan. Two local police commanders are reportedly among the dead.
Worshippers were leaving the mosque, celebrating the start of Eid al-Adha, the Feast of the Sacrifice, when the bomber struck. At least twenty other people have reportedly been injured, some critically.
No-one has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. Suspicion has naturally fallen on the Taliban, despite their leader Mullah Omar having recently warned that Taliban agents should avoid killing civilians wherever possible.
