A video has gone viral, showing a London man proposing to his girlfriend on a packed commuter train. Adam King organised a choir to start singing on the train shortly before he got down on one knee and asked Lucy Rogers to marry him. Fortunately, she said yes.
The couple were on the 19.57 from Euston to Watford Junction. The first hint that something odd was happening came as various other passengers – members of the Adam Street Singers, recruited by King after he started planning the proposal back in April – started singing a rendition of Bill Withers’s hit Lovely Day.
The proposal, which took place on November 1st, almost didn’t happen after Lucy Rogers reportedly decided that she wanted to drive rather than take the train. But King was able to get her on the train anyway, ensuring a memorable proposal and a video that has already been watched thousands of times.
