Will Sharon Bialek allegations bring down Herman Cain’s presidential bid?

Herman Cain‘s presidential campaign faces a fresh challenge this evening after a woman named Sharon Bialek made allegations about alleged sexually inappropriate behaviour. She is not the first woman to made allegations about Cain, but she is the first to do so in such a public way.

At a press conference organised by LA lawyer Gloria Allred, Sharon Bialek went into her allegations in great detail. Whereas Cain’s team have been able to dismiss previous allegations easily, partly because they were not linked to a name or a face, this time Sharon Bialek is a very public face, and the press conference attracted significant media coverage.

Cain’s team have already described the allegations as false, and this is very much a case of ‘he said, she said’. It’s not clear whether Sharon Bialek has any evidence to back up her claims. But for Herman Cain, who has been riding high in the polls in recent week, this is a career-defining moment. Even if he’s innocent of all these allegations, mud can stick in the political world.

  1. I can’t help but feel bad for Herman Cain, while his candidacy grows stronger his name gets tainted further. I don’t know if the allegations are true or not but I always say that these complains has to be made in court. If the accusers are serious about getting back at Cain for what he’s done then they should tale it some place where they can claim justice. Taking it out in the media will make the accusations even more suspicious. Look up Cain’s 999 tax plan and you’ll see that he’s not a worthless candidate that other people says he is  http://HermanCainsTaxPlan.com.
