Federal agent Christopher Deedy accused over fatal shooting of Kollin Elderts in Hawaii McDonald’s

A federal agent has been accused of shooting dead a man in a Hawaii McDonald’s. Christopher Deedy, 27, allegedly shot Kollin Elderts, 23, in the early hours of Saturday morning at the fast food restaurant in Waikiki.

The circumstances of the incident aren’t clear. Christopher Deedy was in Hawaii to work on security for the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, which will be hosted by Barack and Michelle Obama in the area this weekend. Deedy is believed to be attached to the Bureau of Diplomatic Security.

There are unconfirmed allegations that Deedy and Elderts had earlier been involved in a confrontation at a nightclub. Reports suggest that Elderts was not armed at the time that he was killed.
