Microsoft launches Art of Touch mouse-drawn art site

Microsoft has launched a new website that uses the latest developments in HTML5 to power mouse-drawn art. The Art of Touch is designed to promote Microsoft’s new generation of Touch mouse devices, though it works with any type of mouse.

The site uses a variety of special effects and users can switch between a series of different brushes. Various artists have contributed elements to the effects, which users can print out and share via social networks.

The Art of Touch might ultimately be rather inconsequential, but it’s a lot of fun and is a good way to waste a few minutes that you might otherwise spend doing something productive. And who knows? Perhaps you’ll turn out to be the next Jackson Pollock? Or perhaps not…
