Argentinian man Jorge Cardile creates homemade artificial legs for son Ivo

An Argentinian man has constructed a homemade set of artificial legs for his son, who had been told by doctors that he would never walk. And Jorge Cardile is now hoping to help others who need assistance with walking.

Ivo Cardile has been severely brain damaged from help. Doctors said there was no hope for getting him to walk, but his father created his rehabilitation device – using just some planks of wood and parts from an old bicycle – in just a month.

Jorge Cardile has now completed four other machines and is working to refine the design so that he can offer them to other people who are in the same position as his son.
