Argentinian racing driver Guido Falaschi has been killed in a crash at the Autodromo Juan Manuel Fangio. He was racing in the Turismo Carretera when he was involved in a collision with multiple other vehicles.
The 22-year-old, from the Sante Fe province, recieved 40 minutes of cardiopulmonary resusciation work immediately after the accident, and was rushed to the nearby Balcarce Hospital. However, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Falaschi is the third racing driver to be killed in the past few weeks. In October, Indycar driver Dan Wheldon died in a crash, followed later in the month by the death of bike star Marco Simoncelli in an accident at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia.
