Dennis Davern speaks out as police confirm Robert Wagner is NOT a suspect in Natalie Wood death

Police (re)investigating the 1981 death of Hollywood star Natalie Wood say her then-husband Robert Wagner is not a suspect. Meawhile Dennis Davern, the captain of the ship on which Wood and Wagner were staying at the time of the star’s death, has spoken out with his own theories.

A spokesperson for Robert Wagner has said that the investigation is welcome provided it focuses on credible evidence and contributes to a better understanding of Natalie Wood’s death. Wagner has reportedly not been contacted by police, nor has the other guest on the yacht on the fateful night, actor Christopher Walken, who is also not considered a suspect.

Some people have questioned why police have decided now, 30 years later, to re-open the Natalie Wood investigation. There are reports of new evidence having come forward, but the nature of that new evidence is not immediately clear.
