A woman was killed, and two more injured, when a truck ran into them in the tailgaters’ area at a Yale-Harvard game in New Haven, Connecticut. Fans had gathered for the 128th game of the Ivy League rivalry.
It’s reported that the truck was carrying beer and accelerated for no obvious reason. The truck is believed to have then hit two other trucks in the open field area where fans gather to eat and get ready for the game.
The crowd was informed of the woman’s death at half-time, and observed a minute’s silence. The condition of the two other, injued women has so far not been revealed.
