During last night’s Republican presidential debate in Washington, Michele Bachmann claimed – among other things – that terrorists have made 6 attempts to attack Pakistan’s 15 nuclear sites. As the National Journal notes, that’s not something that had previously been made public. Did Bachmann just reveal classified intel?
As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, Michele Bachmann is given access to plenty of classified information. So it’s highly likely that she knows things that haven’t been made available to the general public. Such information is tightly controlled. So where did her figures come from?
While the issue of classified intel is important, the issue of Michele Bachmann’s presidential ambitions might be… not so important. Gawker claims that Bachmann’s team is allegedly planning to field no volunteers or employees in Texas, Florida, Michigan or California. Does that sound like someone with presidential ambitions?
