Aruba authorities order release of Gary Giordano, three months after disappearance of Robyn Gardner

Aruba authorities have ordered the release of Gary Giordano, a US businessman who has been held since shortly after the disappearance of another US citizen, Robyn Gardner.

Although Robyn Gardner’s body has never been found, investigators are assuming that she is dead. Giardano says she was swept out to sea during a snorkelling session back in August.

Despite a number of searches, no sign of Robyn Gardner has been found. Prosecutors are working on a number of theories, but without the body they appear to have been unable to make much progress. Giordano insists that he is completely innocent.
