Boko Haram have launched another attack in Nigeria. This time they targered the northern town of Geidam, with multiple explosions targeting a range of buildings including a police station, a bank and a beer parlour.
It’s unclear how many people have been injured in the attacks and whether there have been any fatalities. Gunmen armed with Kalashnikov rifles are said to have thrown bombs at buildings while firing in the streets late on Saturday night.
Local witnesses say that there were at least three loud explosions, followed by a prolonged exchange of gunfire between the attackers and local police. It’s not clear whether the attackers got away.
