Obituary: singer Andrea True dies aged 68

Andrea True, the singer who enjoyed chart success with the song More More More (How Do You Like It?) in the 70s, has died at the age of 68. She suffered heart failure in a New York hospital.

Born Andrea Truden, she started her career in porn films before using some of the money she had made to record the song in Jamaica. She took the demo to New York, where it was remixed by Tom Moulton and quickly became a top 5 hit in both the US and the UK.

She had another hit, What’s Your Name What’s Your Number?, but her second album didn’t perform well. She sang in clubs in America until complications from throat surgery eventually forced her to take on a number of other jobs, including working as an addiction counsellor and a telemarketer.
