Patrice O’Neal, the popular comedian and TV presenter, has died at the age of 41. He suffered a stroke, reportedly diabetes-related, back in October, and ultimately was never able to recover.
O’Neal was working right up until he fell ill in October. His last major public appearance was at the Comedy Central roast for Charlie Sheen, and there were conflicting reports following his stroke as to whether he was expected to recover fully.
The hosts of the Opie & Anthony radio show confirmed this evening that rumours of O’Neal’s death were true. His family requested privacy as he battled to recover from the effects of the stroke.
