Dakota Meyer, the 23-year-old Marine Corps sergeant awarded the US Medal of Honor earlier this year, is reportedly suing his employer over claims that he allegedly has a problem with drinking.
Meyer claims that he allegedly asked his employer to stop selling a range of high-tech sniper scopes to the Pakistan military. He says he was allegedly branded ‘mentally unstable’ and was described as having a problem with social drinking. He has denied these claims, and family and friends have insisted that he has no such problems.
In September 2009, Meyer – then 21 years old – defied orders and charged five times in a Humvee into heavy fire to provide cover for his team, helping many of them to survive. He also killed a number of Taliban fighters during the incident.
