Body of Georgia girl Jorelys Rivera reportedly found in trashcan

The body of a 7-year-old girl who went missing in the US state of Georgia last week has reportedly been found in a trashcan. No formal identification has yet been made, but sources have claimed that the body is almost certainly that of Jorelys Rivera.

The cause of death has not been identified so far and an autopsy is expected to be carried out in the next couple of days. There are so far no suspects. The girl’s mother has been informed of the discovery.

Jorelys Rivera was last seen outside an apartment block on Friday last week. After searches of the local area revealed no sign of her, police said that they were increasingly concerned that she might have been abducted.
