A music executive has died three days after he was shot during Tyler Brehm‘s shooting rampage in downtown Hollywood. John Atterberry was shot in the face and upper body as he drove past the scene of Brehm’s random attack. Apart from Brehm himself, Atterberry is the only person to have been killed in the incident.
John Atterberry had worked with the likes of Jessica Simpson and the Spice Girls, and had been a vice president of Death Row Records. He appears to have been a popular figure in the east coast music scene and tributes have been paid to him on Twitter and Facebook following news of his death.
Since Friday’s shooting, Atterberry had been at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where it was initially reported that he was likely to pull through despite his serious injuries. However, he died on Monday evening. Meanwhile, police are still looking to confirm a motive for Brehm’s shooting rampage.
