New York advertising executive Suzanne Hart has been killed in a freak elevator accident in a building on Madison Avenue. Two women who were also in the elevator at the time were taken to hospital for shock but were subsequently released.
The accident happened at around 10am on Wednesday morning at the 1920s office tower building, home to a number of tenants including a large advertising agency. Suzanne Hart was entering the elevator on the first floor when he leg got caught. The elevator then reportedly rose, dragging her body into the shaft and killing her.
It’s believed that the elevator became stuck between the first and second floors, with Hart’s body reportedly preventing the elevator from moving. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
